A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an outdated address or has made a spelling error. The negative aspect of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of spam, but this problem can be fixed by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also essential to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

If you’ve got a cloud website hosting service with our company and you wish to enable the catch-all feature for a given mailbox that you have in your account, it will take literally only a single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have created under any domain registered in your account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all messages sent to misspelled email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button once more will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you have activated email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary message and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply pick a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you have a semi-dedicated hosting service with us and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click that icon. In the same fashion you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, if you no longer need it. Our system will warn you in case you’re attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all email address for a certain domain name or in case there’s active email forwarding, but it will never disable or change anything automatically or without your permission.
